On the outside Ruby appears to be calm, quiet person. She seems to be very relaxed and at ease around others, appearing almost bored with wherever she's at unless it's actually something that interests her which is rare. She appears to be somewhat distant at times especially dealing with new people seeming to be not really paying attention to what they're saying unless she throws in a witty or digging remark to them. In her mind however she's absorbing everything in. Watching and noting every detail of whoever she's speaking to or around. She's as calculated as a shark. If she sees a male that actually holds her attention and doesn't bore her to death she is a flirt, a very seductive flirt enjoying the game of predator and prey before either she gives in or they do and then moves on. She doesn't believe in long term relationships. Internally she is quite loyal to those who she feels have earned her loyalties ( that list is not long) and quite caring she just is extremely picky over who gets to see that caring side. She can be a vengeful person ( go figure ) and when it comes to getting her revenge on someone she is prepared to wait for however long it takes, whether it be months or years. She isn't one to anger easily though if you do get her mad you better run for cover. She is very calculating and enjoys reading up on history, her interest in the past shaping her personality in the sense that she learns from the foolish mistakes of others and also the victories of those long passed as well. Overall she is seen as the relaxed, flirty girl with the deadly aim.

Ruby was born to Christian Torres, a well known and very well off doctor. He was known in the community for his compassion and dedication to his work. He wasn't one to give up easily with patients, sometimes going on multiple nights with little to no sleep trying to save a life. It was one night he had been working a night shift and a car wreck victim had came in. The medics had given up home but he had fought. He had worked on the patient for six hours straight until finally it was clear that it was useless. He had stormed out of the hospital in the early morning hours cursing and furious that the life was lost. It was then that he had noticed a beautiful woman watching him rant. The two had began talking back and forth discussing life and death, the scales of life and the futility of changing fate. He had fallen in love and the two had went back to his place. In the morning she had been gone and he had wondered if he had dreamed it all.
Months later a baby showed up with a note explaining that inside was Ruby and she was his child. The note also spoke of who she truly was and what kind of future the child would have, what measurements should be taken to keep her safe. Christian had at first ignored the note and raised the child as his own like any other single dad. He was a good, loving father and he had tried to think of her as just another child. That thought proved to be useless though as Ruby got older. Whenever another child took her toy she would easily be able to punch them hard enough to knock them over, when an adult put her in time out because she was too loud or too rowdy they would suddenly find themselves stubbing their toes. It wasn't long and Christian had to face the truth of what his daughter truly was.
He had sat the girl down at the age of seven and explained it all to her, who she was and what she was capable of. She had listened intently and tried making an effort to use her powers as little as she could. Sometimes avoiding people all together. She threw herself into her school and tried to have as much of a normal life as she could. She also spent her free time volunteering with her father in the hospital though she was never very good at helping him heal people. Still being around all the mortals seemed to keep most of the monsters at bay.
She had gotten accepted into Harvard law with the intent of being a lawyer. She had found she excelled in the field. She liked taking injustices and wrongs and making people pay for them legally. She liked diving into cases and wading through evidence and knowledge until she could prove her point, and tip the scales in her client's favor. She was especially good at defending the innocent, the people who deserved justice. She could find hidden aspects and parts of a case that others simply overlooked. She was doing well and she was enjoying college life. She had made friends and found herself becoming more of a carefree person.
Then she had gotten the news that her father had died. It wasn't anything mythical, it had been a simple hit and run accident while he was crossing the street. She had immediately rushed home and was furious to learn that the police had no clues to who it could be and no one to bring to justice. She had became obsessed with finding them and searched and poured over police records and car damage reports. She had been searching and praying to her mother for months when she met another demigod, a son of Ares out of the blue who assisted her in the search.
Eight months after her father had died the two had found who had committed the crime and turned him over to the authorities after she had gotten her own idea of revenge on him. She had officially dropped out of college and because she simply had no one else to turn to she had agreed to follow him in his travels.

POWERS & ABILITIES
Ruby is the daughter of the goddess Adrestia. Her mother is the literal goddess of enforcing punishment to those who incur the wrath of Nemisis. Known as " she whom none can escape". Therefore her power is one of a peculiar nature. When she makes her mind up to enact revenge on someone or something that is deserving of it and if her mother backs her cause up she is almost always victorious in handing out whatever punishment to them she sees fit as long as it is physical. Whether that may be something as small as beating them in a fight and making them fall on their butt to something as large as breaking a rib while she's fighting with them or having their powers temporarily not work against her while she's fighting them. There are limits of course. She cannot cause any punishment that is not physical, she can't make a person fail a test or forget their lines in a play or anything it has to be physical and it usually involves physical pain than say something like making a person unable to sing well or something. She also is not nearly as good as her mother of course who can dole out revenge to anything and anyone, she typically doesn't use her powers very much unless it's a very, very special occasion. That being someone severely messed with her or did something that needed correcting. When she does use her power such as a physical fight with someone she tends to be very weak and tired for at least 24 hours until she recovers. In the case of someone's powers not being effective on her as soon as the fight would be over she'd be very likely to pass out if not faint if she uses her powers for a long time. Like all demigods she also is very strong, quick, and heals faster than a normal mortal. Because of her previous training she is very skilled with weapons and fighting styles.
